The unsymmetrical part and Mirror

Postby JL82 on Mon Feb 01, 2010 6:23 am

Hi,

I have designed the case and its shape is unsymmetrical. I need to do also mirror of the model. Are there some tools to do that on Alibre or must I be modelling new model?

If you need another 'handed version' of the part, try a scale operation with a scale factor of -1 in one direction and +1 in the other 2. This can work well with configurations to kave a 'left' and 'right' version in a single file.

Hi David,

I found just like this feature. I need the left- and right-handed part.

Thanks David!

Yes, this way is also possible but I think the scale operation is more useful. If I add or remove the feature and operation, the model is updating after the modify using the scale operation.

Thanks!
